Packaging: Brazil - IBD Organic Seal

All labels and packaging products certified by IBD CERTIFICATIONS shall be subject to prior approval by IBD CERTIFICATIONS before exposure to light either for marketing or to test because they must:

  • Conform with current legislation in the country of use of the product in relation to mandatory information that must appear on the packaging, identifying product from organic agriculture;
  • Stamping, clearly, the name and address of the legally responsible for the product, as well as how to obtain additional information and customer service for comments, suggestions and complaints;
  • Use the label "Organic IBD" with the term "Certified Organic Product" or "Made with organic" or similar, as indicated in the following items;
  • Clearly list , in order of percentage composition , all certified products IBD , all non-certified ingredients , all additives or auxiliary processing used and the methods used in processing the food in question;
  • Use for the purpose of calculating the percentage composition , the relative weight of each raw material used , divided by the net weight of the final processed product, these calculations excluding water and salt added to the product . If necessary , the

Conventional products may not be packaged in (including sacks) having the ID of "organic".

Packaging: India - India Organic

Packaging materials that affect the organic nature of the contents
Should be avoided.

Use of PVC materials
Prohibited.

Laminates and aluminum
Should be avoided.

Recycling and reusable systems
Shall be used wherever possible.

Biodegradable packaging materials
Shall be used.

Packaging: Italy - Controllo Biologico (CCPB) / (organically tested)

Whenever possible, recourse should preferably made to ecological and biodegradable packing materials.

If recyclable containers are used, they must be manufactured using not-absorbing, well-preserved and clean materials, free of any unwelcome residue or contamination.

Use of superfluous packing
Must be avoided.

Packaging: Malaysia - Skim Organik Malaysia (SOM)

PVC and other chlorine based plastics
Prohibited.

Styrofoam
Prohibited.

  • Materials used for packaging shall comply to food standard.
  • Packaging materials used for food products shall be clean and hygienic.
  • Packaging materials shall not be treated with undesirable or prohibited substances.
  • Environmentally friendly packaging material should be used where possible.
  • Organic produce shall not be kept in containers, packaging or wrapping material in which conventional produce have previously been kept, unless these have been carefully cleaned.

 

Packaging: Sweden - KRAV

Use of PVC and other chlorine-based plastics
To be discontinued.

Use of packaging material that has been treated with preservatives or chemicals
Must not be used.

If possible choose eco-friendly packaging material.
